They need a safe place…

Dear Friend of WFI:

Recently, our staff spent some time reflecting on the 24 hours before Christ’s death. Everything about it was dark and void of any hope. How could anyone in that moment have known that God was in complete control, achieving victory over death and sin and Satan’s kingdom?

Pulled from today’s headlines:

“Brussels explosions: ISIS claims airport and metro attacks”

Pulled from the pages of God’s Word:

“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others.” (Daniel 2:20-21)

Our world is full of many fearful situations. The people of this world respond in fear. Our God tells us not to fear – He is in control, even when it seems dark and void of hope. Let us take hold of the faith that knows that it is God who is shaking the nations according to His plan.

“From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him.” (Acts 17:26-27)

At Water For Ishmael, we want to join God in the work He is doing, as He moves people around the world, so they may find Him.

As we respond to the darkness of the greatest refugee crisis in modern history, we need your help more than ever. Would you join God in His work here with a special gift honoring His resurrection?

-Janelle Metzger

P.S. We need an additional $12,000 in monthly income to care for those that God has sent us as well as one time funds of $300,000 for building acquisition and renovation to provide bigger facilities. Some of our families have already suffered so much loss and trauma: the kids need a safe place to learn and their moms and dads need help learning English so they can integrate and earn a living wage.
