From a distance, we Americans can look horrible. Many international students come to the United States with a less than fantastic view of what Americans are like. Many have only seen what Americans are like through what their news highlights and the movies that come from Hollywood. The worst part about these perceptions is that many internationals believe that Hollywood and news clips also define Christianity.
This paints a sad picture of who Jesus is and what his followers look like. When international students arrive in Toledo, they are surprised to see otherwise!
